The football team, which comprises of 28 boys and is coached by a team of seven volunteers, meets twice a week at the Abbotsinch playing fields. The funds provided by FG Burnett are vital to the team, assisting in the purchase of much needed training equipment and clothing, including full winter training gear which will allow the boys to train consistently throughout the colder months. Gleniffer Thistle’s 2009 Head Coach, Mark McCall, said: “Fundraising is essential for the success of any kid’s football club. We need to undertake a number of fundraising events to ensure that our boys have the necessary training equipment such as balls, practice goals, training ladders and cones. We also require sufficient funds to secure practice and tournament venues and additional money is required through the winter where the boys need suitable training clothing such as hats, training strips and waterproof clothing. “The money we raise has to go a long way so FG Burnett’s gesture was very gratefully received as it has allowed us to kit the entire squad out with fantastic new strips in Gleniffer Thistle’s traditional tangerine and black with FG Burnett’s logo on the front as a thank you for their donation.” Ross Sinclair, director at FG Burnett in Glasgow, comments: “Gleniffer Thistle has a rich history, having been founded originally back in 1972 with just one age group. Since then the team has significantly expanded to include 15 age groups ranging from boys under 5s, all the way up to under 19s. There is also a recently formed girls section which now has under 9s, 11s, 13s and 15s. “It is fantastic to see youngsters learn new skills, keep fit and enjoy themselves thanks to the dedication of its coaching team – who regularly give up their evenings and weekends to teach the boys. In order to give them every chance for progression, they require additional funding from businesses such as FG Burnett. “We are delighted to be a part of this and we think the boys look absolutely terrific in their new strips. We would like to take this opportunity to wish them all the very best as they hone their skills over the season.” Gleniffer Thistle 2009 boys play each Sunday morning at the Johnstone Sports Hub on Beith Road.  For further information on Gleniffer Thistle visit www.glenifferthistle.co.uk [post_title] => Gleniffer Thistle Scores Sponsorship From FG Burnett [post_excerpt] => [post_status] => publish [comment_status] => open [ping_status] => open [post_password] => [post_name] => gleniffer-thistle-scores-sponsorship-from-fg-burnett [to_ping] => [pinged] => [post_modified] => 2017-02-01 13:39:54 [post_modified_gmt] => 2017-02-01 13:39:54 [post_content_filtered] => [post_parent] => 0 [guid] => http://fgburnett.co.uk/?p=4969 [menu_order] => 0 [post_type] => post [post_mime_type] => [comment_count] => 0 [filter] => raw ) [2] => WP_Post Object ( [ID] => 4937 [post_author] => 20 [post_date] => 2015-05-19 10:50:57 [post_date_gmt] => 2015-05-19 10:50:57 [post_content] => Six budding athletes from FG Burnett’s Aberdeen office took on the annual City of Aberdeen Baker Hughes 10k Running Festival with great success, all in the name of charity. Having worked closely with FG Burnett’s building consultancy division to monitor landlord works, prepare a schedule of condition and overseeing the tenants fit out works, the team at Digby Brown expect to make their move into the premises in early summer. 133-135 Holburn Street has also been acquired by FG Burnett on behalf of Indigo Sun Retail Ltd.  The firm has signed a 15-year lease with a break option at year 5. This will be the fifth outlet that the tanning salon has opened in the Granite City. Unit 3, 157-165 Union Street, formerly The Works, will open its doors to Blacks Outdoor Ltd, trading as Millets. The UK’s largest family outdoors retailer, which formerly traded at 167-169 Union Street has relocated to premises which offer the store a more prominent location under a 10-year lease. Millets also have the option to break at year 5. Richard Noble, Director at FG Burnett comments, “We are seeing a continued demand for retail space in the city centre, and a real sense of positivity from small to medium sized businesses. “Our City Centre continues to boast a vibrant mix of retailers, cafes, offices and residential properties in what is a very unique and attractive business location.” Richard adds, “With new developments such as the Silver Fin building also underway on Union Street, businesses will take this opportunity to take advantage of what that will bring in the medium term - both in terms of footfall and new prospects. “We would like to welcome these businesses to their new locations and we are delighted to play our part in the continued development of Aberdeen.” [post_title] => New Deals Indicate Buoyancy Of Aberdeen City Centre Retail Market [post_excerpt] => [post_status] => publish [comment_status] => open [ping_status] => open [post_password] => [post_name] => new-deals-indicate-buoyancy-of-aberdeen-city-centre-retail-market [to_ping] => [pinged] => [post_modified] => 2017-02-01 13:36:51 [post_modified_gmt] => 2017-02-01 13:36:51 [post_content_filtered] => [post_parent] => 0 [guid] => http://fgburnett.co.uk/?p=4776 [menu_order] => 0 [post_type] => post [post_mime_type] => [comment_count] => 0 [filter] => raw ) [7] => WP_Post Object ( [ID] => 4741 [post_author] => 20 [post_date] => 2015-04-02 10:52:32 [post_date_gmt] => 2015-04-02 10:52:32 [post_content] => FG Burnett is delighted to have been appointed to market 42 Albyn Place which comprises an impressive detached granite and slate office building arranged over lower ground, ground and first floors. The UK Oil and Gas Industry, “ this vital industry “ according to The Chancellor,  should view the budget as an important step in the right direction. The announcement of a single, simplified tax allowance ; PRT cut from 50% to 35% ; the supplementary charge cut from 30% to 20% and new seismic surveys to be paid for by the Government. The Wood Review from February 2014 challenged the industry and the Government to shape the future of the UK North Sea and it is very encouraging to see the response to date. Collaboration, greater efficiency and  better regulation are all progressing and today’s budget continues the momentum. Aberdeen’s property markets will be encouraged by today’s news. The cyclical nature of the world’s oil and gas markets is nothing new for this area and the North East’s  position as a global energy hub has been built up over 50 years, experiencing several corrections. Each time, we learn something new and prepare for the recovery, which will come as sure as night follows day. Aberdeen’s energy sector has got decades of high level activity left – we are confident that those who play the long game in the property market will continue to prosper, a view shared by our experienced clients. The reality is that 2015 and 2016 will see Aberdeen’s property market returning to a more normal level of activity, following a period  which was exceptional. This is a time where experience really comes to the fore – clients want to deal with teams who have been through previous cycles. Comparing current transaction levels to 2012-2014 is not  realistic  – deals are still happening in all sectors, everybody is planning for the future and we are fortunate  to live and work in an area which is home to one of the world’s biggest industries.
