Team FG Burnett Limber Up For Baker Hughes 10k
Six budding athletes from FG Burnett’s Aberdeen office are limbering up for charity this weekend in preparation for the annual City of Aberdeen Baker Hughes 10k Running Festival.
Taking place this Sunday 17th May 2015, Christopher Yannaghas, David MacLeod, Derek Richardson, Scott Strachan, Stephanie Walker and Graeme Millar will be taking their marks, alongside hundreds of other serious and amateur runners, to raise funds for FG Burnett’s chosen charity, Wooden Spoon.
Graeme Millar, Graduate Surveyor at FG Burnett says: “We are really looking forward to taking part this weekend, especially since it is for such a great cause. Wooden Spoon supports a wide range of projects that are designed to improve life for disadvantaged children and young people both within the UK and in Ireland, so the money raised is greatly appreciated.
“Some of the team are seasoned runners and some of us are taking part in this 10k for the first time. Either way, we hope to meet times between 45mins and an hour, taking in the scenic route along the beach esplanade and surrounding streets. We are hoping the weather will stay on our side too!
“If anyone would like to contribute to our cause and help us reach our £500 target, we would be really grateful. Best of luck to everyone taking part and I look forward to raising a pint after we’re finished!”
