Team FG Burnett Smash Baker Hughes 10k

Six budding athletes from FG Burnett’s Aberdeen office took on the annual City of Aberdeen Baker Hughes 10k Running Festival with great success, all in the name of charity.
Having taken place last Sunday 17th May 2015, Christopher Yannaghas, David MacLeod, Derek Richardson, Scott Strachan, Stephanie Walker and Graeme Millar took to the start line, alongside hundreds of other serious and amateur runners, to raise funds for FG Burnett’s chosen charity, Wooden Spoon.
The official times were as follows:
Derek Richardson: 45:47
David MacLeod: 46:45
Graeme Millar: 53:32
Scott Strachan: 56:23
Christopher Yannaghas: 56:50
Stephanie Walker: 1:00:41
Graeme Millar, Graduate Surveyor at FG Burnett says: “We thoroughly enjoyed taking part last weekend, especially since it is for such a great cause. Wooden Spoon supports a wide range of projects that are designed to improve life for disadvantaged children and young people both within the UK and in Ireland, so the money raised is greatly appreciated.
“Some of the team are seasoned runners and some of us were taking part in this 10k for the first time. Either way, we managed to meet our expected times between 45mins and an hour, taking in the scenic route along the beach esplanade and surrounding streets. We were lucky enough to enjoy pretty decent conditions too!
“If anyone would like to contribute to our cause and help us reach over our £500 target, we would be really grateful. I think some of us have definitely caught the running bug and there is already talk around the office of our next 10k!”
